Fishermen and their catch

A lot of people still have fishing as a living on the islands. More and more combine fishing and tourism. In the summer fishing is strictly regulated. I’ve been so lucky to have been taken on a fishing trip summer of 97. Yannis (the owner of Aegeo Inn) and his brother had 2 kilometres of fishing net that they hoped to get up to 10 kg of fish in during the night.

This are the two most wanted creatures in the catch, and a large octopussy. These where the ones they got the best price for.

Fishing nets are often in strong colours, the most usual one is probably yellow.
