The Palámidi fortress, Náfpoli |
|
Náfpoli has no less than 3 fortresses surrounding the city. The Palámidi fortress is the largest as well as the most recent fortress. It was built during the period 1711-1714, and is thus in mint condition today. Palámidi is crowning the mountain just behind Náfpoli city. There are today two possible ways to get to the fortress, either through walking the nearly 1000 steps up the stairs, or by driving around by car. Fortunately, we did not know about the road, so we took the stairs up and not at least down. A fantastic tour, read the description further down on this page. |
