Just a quick reminder to point your attention to the fairly self-explanatory page "Are there any dangerous animals and insects in the sea or on the islands?"

There are many great beaches on Skopelos. As mentioned on the Town of Skopelos-page, the town beach can hardly be recommended; you'd be much better off taking a bus or a boat to one of the other beaches.  The closest one by bus and probably the most popular is Stafilos, a great beach with lush vegetation growing almost down to the beach itself – a common denominator for all the beaches of Skopelos to be quite honest.  A short walk past the beach brings you to a designated naturist beach.

Seven kms from the town of Skopelos the bus stops at Agnatos, a small village with cafeneons – tavernas – as well rooms to rent for the night. There is also a small but really nice sandy beach at Agnatos, right next to the main road.  A narrow gravel road just after Agnatos brings you to another beach, Limnonari.

Nice boats, such as this one, anchored by the beach of Limnonari, are a fairly commonplace sight by the more remote beaches.

Stay on the bus a bit further and you will arrive at Panormos, yet another small village with cafeneons, shops, accomodations as well as a great, sandy beach.

From here on to Glossa there are a number of long, pebbly beaches, on which
you'll have all the space you'll ever want.
